Friday, March 19th, 2010Filed under: Downloads , Action , Simulation , Assassin’s Creed 2 Ubisoft ’s decision to have their current and future PC games have an “Always On” internet connection for their DRM set-up has generated a ton of chatter, mostly for the bad. In fact, Valve ’s head man Gabe Newell indirectly attacted such moves in his Game Developers Choice Awards acceptance speech last week. Which is why some people got concerned today that UK users of Valve’s PC game download service Steam could no longer purchase or download Assassin’s Creed 2 or Silent Hunter 5 .

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010Filed under: Demos , Action Tomorrow, Xbox 360 owners will be able to get a free taste of the action when Ubisoft releases their demo of Splinter Cell Conviction , the latest game in the stealth action game series. While the game is also supposed to come out for the pC as well, it looks like PC owners won’t get the same demo treatment. The Twitter page for Ubisoft community developer Li Kuo delivered the bad news today, saying, ” Sorry guys, tomorrow’s demo is for X360 only
