EA: Battlefield 1943 PC news coming "shortly"

Filed under: Downloads , FPS , Multiplayer With Battlefield Bad Company 2 now out, many PC games have been wondering what in the wide, wide, world of sports has happened to the development of the PC port of Battlefield 1943 . The PC port of the console downloadable WWII themed multiplayer shooter from developer Digital Illusions has suffered through a a couple of delays since it was announced (the Xbox 360 and PS3 ports were released back in June 2009 and were huge sales hits for EA).

Next Battlefield Bad Company 2 PC patch delayed

There was supposed to be a patch coming today for Digital Illusions recent first person shooter but that plan was pulled at the last minute due to discovering some crash bugs.

Filed under: Downloads , Expansions , FPS , Multiplayer While players of Battlefield Bad Company 2 have had to battle issues with multiplayer servers going up and down in the past week, at least they won’t have to pay for two new upcoming maps. Gamers who buy the recent first person shooter and put in their included VIP code will be able to download two new maps on March 30. As previously announced the two new maps will include the Arica Harbor level in Conquest mode and the Laguna Presa level in Rush mode

There was some downtime earlier today on the servers for EA’ s recent first person shooter that the game’s official blog site said, “was caused by a routing issue outside of EA’s control.” That issue has since been fixed
